A serum is designed to deliver a high concentration of much needed nutrients to the skin. Our Vitamin C Serum contains an amazing array of nutrients and antioxidants that replenish, hydrate and protect the skin, while brightening the complexion and delivering amazing anti-aging benefits.
A serum is effective when used alone, however, it delivers the best results when a proper skin care routine is followed. To get the best results from your serum it should be applied after cleansing and toning, but before moisturizing and sealing. To get a better idea of the best way to utilize a serum in your skin care routine please refer to the following skin care outline:
- Cleanse skin to wash away makeup and surface dirt.
- Tone the skin to pull any remaining dirt from the pores. A toner (or essence) will also balance the skins ph level to ensure that it is ready to receive moisture.
- *Apply serum*– after the skin is clean and has been toned the pores will be ready to take in all of the useful nutrients the serum has to offer.
- Apply a moisturizer that is suitable for your skin type. A moisturizer is typically applied after a serum due to it being a heavier product that offers benefits to the surface layer of the skin. A serum contains smaller molecules than moisturizers which give serums the ability to penetrate into the epidermis, while it also heals the surface layer of the skin.
Seal in the moisture with a facial oil. A facial oil is the last step of the skin care routine due to its ability to lock in moisture, while still being able to penetrate the skin with all of its amazing ingredients and specialized benefits. Facial oils are known to provide a great protective barrier for the skin and they make great primers for makeup applications.
Yes! A serum is designed to deliver a high concentration of much need nutrients to the skin. Oily skin is known to overproduce oil if it’s lacking the nourishment and hydration that it needs to stay healthy. Therefore, a serum is a likely solution to regulating oily skin and providing it with the proper nourishment that it needs to stay healthy and radiant, instead of malnourished and greasy.
